Justice Gogoi will take over as next chief justice of India

Justice Ranjan Gogoi will take over as 46th chief justice of India.The present Chief justice of India Mr Deepak Misra will be retiring on 2nd of october.Justice Gogoi is the senior most judge of the Supreme court of India after present CJI Deepak Misra.Born on November 18th, 1954 justice gogoi is son of former chief minister Mr Keshav chandra gogoi.

Justice gogoi has been appointed by the President of India Shree Ram Nath Kovind.He is well known for giving decisions on some important matters like setting up a special court for MLA’S and Parliamenterians and for national register of citizens in Assam.
